This event goes on for two days, and it is no wonder that it among the community’s favorites.  It features an art contest full of amazing art that is made of chocolate. Celebrate Fairfax! Festival. This right here is the largest family-friendly annual community festival in Northern Virginia. Celebrating Independence Day in Fairfax. Since 1967, Fairfax, VA has always had their own special kind of way of celebrating Independence Day. A charming parade early in the morning sets the mood just right, and the evening fireworks close the day in style. Look out for the special events including the Superhero fest, a fireman’s competition and the largest parade ever in Northern Virginia. The parade features civic floats, marching bands, Shriner’s little cars and huge motorcycles, horses, old fire engines, gymnasts, clowns, inflatable parade balloons and so much more.

Fall for Fairfax Festival. This festival is the biggest fall festival in Northern Virginia, and it is quite a family-friendly event offering you a myriad of interactive activities and exhibits for some family fun. There are special education programs on fitness, public safety, personal health, and the environment.
