Now, you might be wondering why these location-specific pages are tucked into the site’s footer. They are linked here because they’re not intended to be viewed by the person that happens upon the website via the homepage. These are meant to be accessed directly from search engine results pages (SERPs) by those searching for location + service keyword phrases.

But the optimization goes beyond local efforts. Brand-specific optimization is important as well. A good example of this comes from the page dedicated to the brand Samsung. This one is optimized for “samsung appliance repair” and provides straightforward information about Samsung and the services provided that relate specifically to this brand’s products.
